When a busy Utah couple sought to revitalize their dated laundry and bathroom, they turned to us to help with their home transformation. As a returning client, their goal was to infuse the space with contemporary elegance while maintaining functionality for their on-the-go lifestyle. This case study explores how Fine Custom Construction seamlessly melded luxury with practicality, delivering a high-end renovation that aligned with the homeowners’ modern tastes and busy schedules.

Crafting Contemporary Beauty
Initially confronted with an outdated bathroom and laundry room, the homeowners desired a renovation that would incorporate custom, high-end finishes and reflect their appreciation for contemporary design. They required a swift and efficient remodel to accommodate their demanding work lives in Salt Lake, trusting Fine Custom Construction to manage the project from inception to completion.
OUR SOLUTION
Our team of remodel experts, along with the project designer, JB Design began reimagining the space. The transformation focused on introducing a lighted floating vanity as a striking focal point in the half bath and adding plenty of storage space to the laundry room.
A Half-Bathroom Reborn
The modern half-bath remodel unveiled wallpaper with subtle textures, black hanging lighting, and a large wood-framed mirror, all contributing to a sophisticated and serene atmosphere. The bathroom’s centerpiece, a lighted floating vanity set against a contrasting color quartz countertop, offers a sleek, clutter-free look while the black modern light fixtures add a dramatic flair. The smart use of lighting by Hansen Lighting not only accentuates the vanity’s design but also enhances the overall ambiance of the room. We also custom built the black framed mirror and the client loved it so much, they had us build another one for their St. George home.
Full Bathroom Transformation
In another bathroom, outdated fixtures were replaced and the bathtub with a walk-in shower, set above natural wood floors, was illuminated by tasteful under-cabinet lighting. This strategic incorporation of lighting serves to create the illusion of a more expansive space, while also providing a warm, inviting glow.
The Contemporary Laundry Room
This renovation extended beyond the bathroom. We redefined the concept of a laundry room, transitioning it from a purely utilitarian space to one of contemporary charm and efficiency. Marble veined quartz countertops by Bertolli Quartz from Arizona Tile elegantly draped the laundry machines, paired with custom spacious cabinetry by Peppertree Kitchen and Bath, make for an inviting space that turns a chore into a pleasure.
